News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Jan 7th: Small update to the Uploading Guidelines today: We now no longer allow paintovers of AI generated content. Or in other words AI generated content that has been edited to some degree by humans.

    Since this is getting downvoted after the fact, let me say that it did get deleted a few days after I posted. not only was I right to worry, but that made me worried that my own uploads would end up the same way because nobody bothered to take any look at them.

    It's crazy how this slipped, and how this had to be manually reinstated by another janitor. At least there is that avenue if an artwork is not accepted within 30 days.

    If you have an iPhone, they don't support WebM files and rely on sites samples, which failed to generate for this post.
    Force regenerated the samples, check if it works now. With file itself everything seems proper enough.

    I have an iPad but that's besides the point as it is supported on ipad. How many times do I have to say I tried it on pc and it didn't work either? How many times do I need to say they worked before but now they don't? It works now. I hate having to take you off my blacklist just to do this. I'm only doing what you told me to do. Functionality over quality.

    Well, either your PC is highly out of date, you are using browser that's out of date or doesn't support VP9 WebM or you are lying.
    And if you are the same guy from forums, then I told you already there it's samples and once again, it was samples, it's almost like I'm right or something and that angers you :V
