And this is why crossing these two franchises would be both awesome and HUGELY imbalanced. I mean, yeah, digivolving, but also Pokemon has gods and literal representations of the cosmos walking around.

Then, there's Huanglongmon who's the boss of the Digimon Sovereings.
To a certain points, even servers are gods.

Digimon is just bonkers, and being a good furry myself, I'm no fan of seeing a cat turn into a human-esque angel.

But that aside, this was a beautifully animated battle. And even more than that, major props to Mienfoo's VA! That was perfect sound design for a Pokemon.

Pokemon might have gods and cosmic beings, but gundramon has revolvers for hands and cannons for knee caps.

you mean her rookie form. Gatomon is a champion. the dog stage is her rookie.

Season 1 also had quite a few reality warping and bending Digimon as well, Dark Masters come to mind along with Myotismon to a lesser extent, not to mention a literal death God that created it's own pocket reality to suck up all the power and abilities of Digimon as they both died AND devolved.

I'm surprised no one else mentioned, Gatomon to Angewomon isn't a warp digivolution. That's just the next up from Gatomon.

This is why you pick Lucario. Least mega evolving would be a thing... or a Z move... or Dynamaxing... unless you count Gigamaxing. Then there's Terastallizing....

Scratch that thought. Pokémon needs to stick to a gimmick.
