I mean cmon, this is the kinda art this artist does, why the heck does it even matter? Not like anyone cares about the comment you leave, its just a picture at the end of the day, how you interpret it should be kept to yourself. Shout out to you enginetrap for just doing you mate, I personally think you got some good art and a unique style!

Opening the bag labeled dead dove inside to criticize that there's a dead dove inside. lol

Yeah, no one seems to understand that the fact that someone has a rape fetish of any type means they are mental damaged and needs help. I hate the fact that I had fantasies about getting raped. I wish I could afford the therapy to help me.

A good start would be to not to go looking at art that involves it. Might I suggest using your blacklist?

Interesting how on vore art, feet art, "orientation play", and pretty much any other unpopular or ethically weird kink it's always "use your blacklist, you don't have to like it" but when there's a post that's upsetting with more than just shock value or ickiness to it, it becomes a moral crusade about how it's your inalienable right to bitch about it.

If you don't like it, you don't have to draw it, you don't have to upvote or favorite it, and you don't even have to look at it.

Depends. Criticism is only valid when it's relevant to the topic and context, and it's formulated in a positive way.

Communication is between two or more people, and has a purpose. Throwing negative criticism around (too aggressive, poorly elaborated or just pointless hate) achieves nothing more than stroke our egos. One must try to convey a message that can make it to the other side.

Mental issues must be treated very carefully. Who's to say that someone is mentally damaged, if they're completely happy and do not cause harm to anybody?

If you feel bad and want help, it's your choice. Each person is a world.

Criticism is and always has been allowed.
But if your criticism is just saying you're not into the thing the artist is aiming for and/or that the artist is terrible for drawing it, it's basically just moral grandstanding and being an ass to people who are into it.
Which, like, arguably can have its place in some specific cases, but this just ain't it. Let people enjoy their kidnapping fantasies in peace.

That's not how that works. Having a fetish for something messed up in a fictional concept isn't an indication of any form of mental damage. No professional psychiatrist would tell you something like that.

Do you have constructive criticism about the art itself, or are you going to criticize the subject matter?

    That's the difference.

  • That brings up another argument - should compliments be constructive?
"Wow so cool!" doesn't exactly help with telling the artist what about the artpiece is so cool. for example.
So let me rephrase, if mindless unhelpful comments are allowed, I don't see the big deal about unhelpful criticism. Naturally I think both should just be constructive, instead.
And of course, considering this site has blacklists, bitching about something not being your fetish is stupid.

    "discussion in comments" tag imminent?

i just see them as trolls at this point, they evolved from internet buffoons to actual morons
thankfully you can blacklist comments under a specific score like -10 but you'll still see the replies to those comments. maybe a comment overhaul would help combat this, divide into comment and quote instead of text with some format to make it a little more fancy. this way you could also hide the replies/quotes.

  • Though I do not like what is happening in the picture (subject matter), I can appreciate the clear display of skill and cleverness within the (art itself). Lighting looks spot-on for an early morning with a clear sky, the character and their situation are made clear even without the text so props on the general posing and anatomy and making the tape (+ wand) work. Also how the room seems to center around the main character despite them being seemingly waay close to the back wall, though that could just be my eyes not seeing it right...

Thingy make me sad but I liked trying to explore it beyond that base feeling. Guy needs to clean up that side wall a little imo. 10/10
