TiTS Bust: Shalin Shaman

Between the radiation-mutated plant life and the ravaging raiders on the plains, one might hope the skies of Phaedra, at least, would be safe. But not so! The native shalin are a half-avian, half-humanoid species capable of great speeds through the air and powerful ground-based engagements. The massive bird-taurs tower over most other races and the metallic deposits in their feathers give them far greater durability than one might expect of an avian race. While their tribal communities usually keep to themselves in the mountainous regions of the planet, technological signals can provoke intense fury in their more warlike denizens, possibly leading to swooping assaults on those who rely too heavily on things such as extranet communications. That codex is pretty handy, but be careful before whipping it out, or you might catch some raking talons from the sky!
