Week 24
As the weeks continued their march ever forward, so did Kai's middle. The speed at which his middle grew over the last month further testifying to the fact that he was carrying twins.
While the two pups had started with weak and occasional movement, they were now shifting around every chance they got. The rather enjoyed spinning into new and increasing uncomfortable positions. Right now, their positions forced Kai's belly to look lopsided to the one side. His tight skin straining against the pressure being exerted from within.
The Coyote sighed. His one hand was gently trying to massage the pups into a more comfortable position while the other continued to flip through the various reality shows that were currently on air.
The clicking of the remote suddenly stopped.
A commercial for jarred pickles was playing.
Kai's stomach grumbled. His eyes glazing over as he thought about how good the pickles looked.
The commercial ended and the loud sounds of another started, bringing him back to reality.
The Coyote glanced towards his kitchen, then remembered his empty fridge and cabinets. He had not gone shopping since the cashier had mistaken him for a woman a week back. The memory caused him to shudder.
He heard his stomach growl again.
"You two want to go shopping for some food," he asked his occupants.
The Coyote grimaced as they responded by suddenly twisting around within. His belly no longer sitting quite as lopsided as it had been.
"That feels like a yes to me," he gave his belly a pat and stood up, "I hope you two like pickles," Kai paused a moment, another sudden craving hitting him, "And peanut butter. Pickles and peanut butter."
