April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.

MemberI'm a bit more fan of the "straight guys end up fucking his gay friend/flatmate" kind of story but orientation play is a nice fetish for any kind of couple.
But yeah some may have a double standard considering that some people unfortunately gets upset about when a gay character is doing straight stuff even if they're revealed to be slightly bisexual or just experimenting while a fully straight guy getting railed in a yaoi setting is fine to them.

MemberSo far I've only seen one person complaining on Twitter when one artist dared putting Flick (from AC) with a female villager... The game didn't even have any truly explicit thing about his orientation (since romance isn't really the subject of the game).
Maybe some people treat their headcanon as actual canon...
I don't get why people get a double standard... maybe the whole dynamic (it's less bad if a gay guy gets with a woman because he's supposed to have the "upper hand" on his choices while a woman is still seen in the general subconscious as a fragile being that needs to be handled with care).
Of course nobody should condone that in real life (as the golden rule is that consenting adults should never be forced to do what they don't want to do) but those are merely drawings.
