Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.
Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

MemberNot for nothin' but it sounds like there's a bit too much compression when you or whoever did your audio processed the vocals.
Slight recommendation, -24db compression at a 3.2:1 ratio, then at a wee bit of even harmonic saturation, and an 18-24db roll-off around 18khz, n see how that fairs.
I wish ya luck, keep up the good work. 👍🏻

MemberAddendum, with a target output level of -18db, and a starting signal of -30db on an
RMS meter, you'll want to use "serial compression" or in laymans terms, two compressors at once.
The first compressor being VCA, with a ratio of 8:1, and a threshold of -18db,
to tame any peaks, and the second compressor having a less aggressive 4:1 ratio,
threshold set to -30db, with a peak crest of around 3db, to smooth the signal further.
This should give you a general level output to work with in the mastering process.
If you're going to be yelling, I'd suggest using 3 light weight limiters.
First one configured for logarithmic RMS, "root mean square" which targets the average loudness range
of the signal, great for taming consistent loudness, and a second limiter configured
for the Peak, meaning it will target the loudest portion of the signal, finally
ending with a brickwall limiter to ensure your signal never clips or distorts.
This is basically my live chain; I like to process everything live, because it
saves me a lot of time in post.
