I'm not sure what policy is on this, but I think the "young" tag needs to be removed. From what I understand they made "young" an alias of "cub" recently and it's made things a bit of a mess.
This guy is labeled as 22 years old in the top-right of the image, so it wouldn't count as cub, at least I think.

Putting this here rather than modifying the tags in case I'm wrong.

Ah I see Zaush is back to drawing "22 year old" cubs again.

If someone drew an obvious cub, then labeled it "40 years old", that wouldn't make it not a cub.

This is what the adult_(lore) tag is for. Posts are tag what you see, and the proportions are very childlike, hence the young tag is appropriate. The adult_(lore) tag is for characters that look young, but are intended to be older.

So if this is "young" then is every single other fennec fox post? Zaush has drawn plenty of cubs, I don't see why he would lie about a characters age

its a wierd thing with him specifically i think because while there have been obvious cub stuff he allways liked using the "looks like their 10 but they are actually 500 years old" trope to weasel out of the cub and young tag, why? no clue maybe it was to show up on more feeds or somthn or other but from what i can remember zaush has always been very denying of the fact he does cub stuff

Counterpoint: If we call this an adult, then is every small anthro/bottom Zaush draws an adult because he says they are? See your logic just doesn't quite cut it. It's like you haven't seen alot of zaush's work. Like...a few thousand posts. And he blatantly has claimed they aren't underage on many occasions in the past. He *has* lied before but I've stopped keeping track of it, maybe he's more honest now.

This is why I dont like the alias. This looks like a cub, and should be tagged accordingly but it is not young.
Putting it all into an alias makes things weird, but even before it was weird. Always been an issue I guess

It sounds like you're trying to say it should be tagged cub but not young? Even though cub roughly meant young anthro/feral characters and implied the young tag? I'm not too sure what else "This looks like a cub, and should be tagged accordingly" would mean.
He definitely has young proportions and with the size difference and being crotch height it makes him look even younger. Hes even smaller than some of his obviously young, clearly a kid at school posts. If there wasn't text in the image stating his age no one would bat an eye at the young tag. That's why its tagged young.

I don't know, I've always found it easier to associate cub with a body type as opposed to young which tends to associate with age, but I feel ya, I get that side of the argument as well

Young on this site generally refers to anyone appearing under the age of 20. A weird number to be sure but eh.

Edit: Nevermind I just noticed they changed it to 17 and under.
