News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

Isn't that one of things description is for? Usually i see it there. Audiosfx and voice acting is usually quite underapriciated. As far as I know.
(I guess one could always just put tag like artistname_(Audsfx) or artistname_(voice) )

Day #XXX of asking for e621 to add tags for audio artists

Wholeheartedly agree, voice actors/sound editors should be tagged in Artists, at least consistently because I've seen some posts that do have actors/editors there.

  • Holy cow...the animation looks so good! The little jerking motions, the eyes and tongue, it really feels like a close representation to the way the movies animated.

  • When I was watching this severe thunderstorm warning came on, and as soon as I heard the warning sound, toothless looked up, and I’m like that is the most perfect time timed thing in the world

He does have an artist tag i found out, after uploading an animation that i tagged him in for the sound works.
It was the first submission though, despite the tag existing prior so someone either removes him from the tags or a post he was in got deleted. Though i question whether staff thinks its ok to add that a creator is a "Sound Editor" in brackets, so that people understand why this person who didn't make an animation are in the credits.
Because i do agree with you, good sound editors for animations really need more credit for their work, because bad audio mixing can really make or break an animation. No matter how good the visuals are.
