Bro, that's wild, there should be one that's accurate to how animals IRL are prepared, like rabbit, or lamb.

The neat detail of an animation like that might be the connective tissues that hold the pelt to the layer of muscle underneath.

Anatomy is really cool, but I'd understand if people wouldn't wanna see that, as some animals may seem too adorable.

I think it's to take away from the gore factor, so people don't look at it and think "that's fucked..."

Obviously, they'll still think of it that way, but less so than you would if the insides weren't a different colour than our own.

The developers love memes apparently, saw the pokemon one and wanted to play along. Also, don't think the developers like PETA very much, considering the in-game equivalent of PETA likes to raid your base with low-level guys and get wrecked by all your pals.
