Am I the only one feeling this way? The top has been so sweet, but I can't stand the bottom. He let his parents chase out his study date, he laughed at the flowers, and now his sole focus is getting stuffed. Ruining the mood, and rushing, ignoring the tops needs 💔.

I think you are a bit too sensitive with the flower part here, anyone would find hard to respond properly when given flowers, also, alot of conservative parent would not react well to uninvited (or guest who are invited without their premission) guest who brought their son flowers and is a boy at the same time

  • I might be at risk of making a pun here, but we should go deeper, and acknowledge that relationships and especially budding relationships are as complex as the people within them. Like Bigdumfuk said so eloquently, the parents might be a factor.

You can downvote me all you want, it doesn't make me wrong. The bottom is clearly only thinking of his needs. But worse; he does not stand up against his parents. He lets him be chased off like some pest ridden stray. It really hurts to see, and it's sad if americans are so desensitized that they think it's normal to submit to bigoted parents. It's not like they live in Iran. If you don't stand up for people you care about, then you are worse than scum.

This is a very common trope it’s not that serious buddy you might want to spend some time off the internet if you’re this upset about 2 cartoon canines relationship dynamic

  • Sorry about my comment spree; I was having a bad day. Not an excuse, just yeah. I know I appeared self-righteous, preachy, ignorant, and most importantly; hostile. I felt bad for the dude and wasn't able to deal with that emotion until now.

  • I also distracted from Akatan's beautiful art. He is one of my absolute favorite artists and I adore his work. Character design and mood is brilliant. Almost too immersive.. Thank you Akatan for spending the time and also posting it online for everyone to enjoy!

Agreed. I couldn't come out to my parents until I moved out and got a job to support myself. And I'm glad I did, didn't talk to them for about 3 years. But they're coming around slowly. Doesn't mean spicy moments like the one in Akatan's picture didn't happen while I lived with them ;)
