When I made this drawing, it was before I watched Moonkitti’s “Bramble Bad” video and realized just how awful and abusive Bramblestar is and has honestly always been to Squirrelflight. I was also going off of what I remembered from The New Prophecy, The Power of Three, and Omen of the Stars arcs, which I read many years prior to making this and obviously did not pick up on Bramble’s totally toxic behaviors at the time. As a teen and young adult, I regrettably never read Warriors with a particularly critical eye, but that has changed. Now I CLEARLY recognize Bramble’s abuse tactics and condemn them wholeheartedly. I know exceedingly better now that they have NOT been the “power couple” I falsely remember them being. And as I’ve been keeping up with the latest arcs, like The Broken Code and A Starless Clan, it’s clear that Bramble has not improved or changed at all and the Erin’s seem all too committed to pretending they never wrote him so horribly to begin with. I just wanted to clarify these facts in case any viewer interpreted this fan art as me endorsing such an abusive relationship or that I am not extremely sensitive to the topic of domestic abuse in general. I want to keep the art up for others to enjoy as they wish, but hopefully with better context and understanding. Thank you for hearing me out! 🫶🫶🫶

GUESS WHO'S DRAWING WARRIORS AGAIN AFTER 10 YEARS OF NOOOTTT???!!
Wow, I didn't think I'd be revisiting these characters after all this time. Even though I STILL get requests to draw Warriors almost DAILY! But here I am, getting into the series again, anyway. I may or may not keep drawing Warriors, since I work full-time, but I'll see what I can do.
Anyway, here's smol Squirrelflight (my favorite character), and her big hubby, Brambleclaw. Or I guess, he's BrambleSTAR now! Happy tears Our little boy has grown up...
I always loved their relationship, rocky though it was sometimes. They were always meant to be together, and they both know that. Which is why they remain loyal to each other even after all the shit that gets thrown at them. I haven't read beyond Omen of the Stars, but from what I've been exposed to about Sparkpelt and Alderheart, I love them. Their biological children are beautiful, talented babies.

MemberBramblestar is not abusive. Moonkitty's video is extremely biased as she hates Bramblestar and loves Squirrelstar, so whenever he does something Squirrel doesn't like she sees it in the worst light possible. She often subverts events from the books to better fit her interpretation. Worst of all, she treats her interpretation and opinion as facts.
You say you kept up with recent arcs like TBC and ASC. In TBC, Bramble is being affected by Ashfur which is why he snaps at Squirrel once, and in ASC Squirrel is undermining his leadership again, of course he was angry with her. None of that is abusive or toxic. If anything Squirrelflight is being abusive one towards her mentally ill mate, but a) she's under a lot of pressure leading Clan with Bramblestar in that state, and b) that happens in families where one member is suffering mental illness like PTSD, which is why I don't hate her for it.
This is great drawing and you should not be ashamed for making it, they are still the favorite couple of many fans, and their relationship is the core of Warriors since the second arc^^

Sorry, that comment was a reply to author's disclaimer, it really irked my inner nerd, you know? As I mention at the end, I still love this picture, and its a shame to me that the author is ashamed of it because of somebody's video.
