April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

MemberWait did taga actually post this??
Someviewer
MemberI did. This is one of many gifs Taga archived for us to download, and I decided to upload a few

MemberI miss him so much 😭

Memberinstead of downvoting, why not answer his question?

MemberCause saying "man i wish this artist did stuff that aligns with my sexual orientation" isn't something to comment on a post imo, just irks me the wrong way.
Manyura
Memberthere's nothing wrong with wishing artists did more diverse stuff. i mean imagine taga doing something for haru. it'd be legendary.
But i mean taga was clearly gay irl i think so i don't know if they would even be comfortable making straight art.
gibberishafnehna
MemberIt's fine to want it, but actively going out of your way to let everyone else know is a little weird.

MemberLemme guess I'm getting downvoted for saying something cause I'm going out my way to say it. Lmao. You know what good for you for getting upvotes in retort to my comment. The voting system after all is meant to show what good and what bad comments look like.
So what we learned today is that people should shut the fuck up if they have a wrong thought they put to text like a good person should.
I'll correctly say that taga never needed to draw straight porn because he's a artist he can draw whatever he wanted too.

MemberIn my reply I was talking about the original comment, which has since been deleted, if you're confused about that. Never told anyone to shut the fuck up, was only trying to share my view on things. Very right though on that last thought.
Manyura
MemberI understand I may just be Projecting on times I very negative score comments I get sometimes
ginkei
MemberWhy? Mind giving us an explanation? I feel like I wouldn't have been downvoted or people being "irked" if it was a mainly straight artist being asked to do gay art there.
I wasn't aware that the artist was gay (although even mostly straight artist could draw m/m or f/f commissions and vice versa) but I don't get how it irks people to simply express a wish even without ordering nor forcing the artist to do such.
PS: Taga had two posts with the tag male/female.

MemberCause shits weird when it comes to sexuality, like if it was someone wanting a sound version of a gif, or something like that it wouldn't be weird. But someone wishing an artist did something that didnt align with their sexuality could, and would be interpreted as weird. If it was a straight artist being asked to to do gay art it would still "irk" me btw. although the voting system has clearly not declared me the arbiter of truth, so don't take it from me.
ginkei
MemberI said I didn't really know they weren't straight but even some artist made art that weren't of their sexuality. I mean you see straight women making yaoi stuff as well as guys doing woman on woman action.
Also Taga stopped making animations there so I simply said that it was a shame they never did straight stuff but not asking directly to do that since it's not an order.
I didn't know it would've come off as rude to people there.
gibberishafnehna
MemberIt's completely fine, and I can definitely understand where you were coming from if you didn't know they were gay, so not holding anything against you.
K-Snake-O
MemberI don't think it matters. Bittersweet wishful thinking is completely harmless in this context and not every artist's art lines up with their sexuality. I know mine doesn't and I know other people who are the same. It would be weird if the sentiment was clearly pushing against some clear and obvious boundary, but with how little was said, that's a conclusion you'd have to pull out your ass.

Memberdoes anyone know what happened to them?
gibberishafnehna
MemberI am aware. never tried to call it harmful. was only trying to state my opinion, and maybe my opinion was wrong and short-sighted. the original comment is deleted, the artist doesnt make art anymore, there is no sense in wasting time making comments to try and prove a point we all agree on.
Manyura
Memberthe original comment wasn't deleted btw. when a post gets 11 downvotes it just gets hidden. you can check by clicking show hidden posts at the top of the comment thread. also comment voters seemed to have a field day with this thread it's making me giggle.

Memberi feel like its so rare to see correctly animated penis skin on a handjob, i love those small details
ginkei
MemberI also feel like it's rare to see humanoid penises with a foreskin on this site as well.
PS: You should check more of the reach_around tag since it's the term for a handjob when penetrating.
Edit: Ah, somehow they also have the handjob_while_penetrating tag which is more specific.

Membero damn i did not know that, thank you
