Bio:

Arisha is a rattle bug from a small place somewhere near Highreign. She was part of a clan with at least a hundred or so bugs like her.

She is known as a Rattle Bug (Name WIP)- known for their spiked elbows and more importantly- their abdomen that rattles when shaken. This is used for many things in their species, such as showing affection/ interest/ embarrassment, using it to scare off foes, or more importantly used as a sound to lure prey towards them or away. They can also communicate with these sounds like morse code. This ability naturally helps a lot of their kind when hunting or planning an attack.

She wields two long daggers and has many throwing knives. She doesn’t miss her target. She’s also easily swayed by money.

Personality: Arisha may appear sweet and innocent, but she masterfully hides her true intentions behind that cute smile. Flirty and seductive only to throw you off or laugh in your face immediately after. Even when she’s supposed to be taking things seriously, she’ll still tease and crack jokes, jabbing at you mentally.
She does have a softer side but is reserved for but a few souls. Befriending her is a risky reward, for you don’t know when she will throw you under the bridge just to get away.

Story Events:

Everything here is a WIP.
She comes from a region not too far from Highreign. She’s from a small town, which housed a large clan of skillful assassins and bounty hunters. As a young girl, she was exceptionally adept and even went on missions with the older members. When she was about 16, something stirred within the clan, leading to a massacre, leaving her to be the only survivor. Arisha still doesn’t know what exactly happened or why the clan was suddenly at each other’s throats. She trudged through the town as it rained afterwards, emotionally scarred as she took her leave.

She’d wander towards Highreign, seeking shelter. Immediately she’s treated like scum by the guards, until one of the four kings steps in, takes her by the hand, and leads her in… as if he wasn’t aware of what she’s just been through.

She’s given a small home in the nicer part of the kingdom, though she spends most of her time within the castle. She is trained to be a maiden, simply to fit in, which gives her time to ease her mind and get her life rolling again. Though after she explains her past to the kings, she is given the opportunity to become Highreign’s first assassin.

Arisha, with her past skills, takes on numerous missions, usually smaller scouting missions and assisting guards on their quests, but she’s given a few assassination missions eventually. What seemed like random bugs to her all fell to her blade. Sometimes she would tease her victims and get to know them before taking their life.

Then one day, she’s tasked with one assassination so out of left field. She attempted it… but after discovering the state her target was in, she did something else. She spared them, and snuck them out of their predicament, hiding them afar. Ever since that one encounter, her views on Highreign have shifted, and she may be pulling her own strings behind the scenes, going against the kings orders.

Relationships:

🔶The Four Kings- Despite the kindness she was shown initially, she doesn’t trust them. One is kinder, she likes him. The main one though… the one that led her into the kingdom, she hates his guts. He’s made advances towards her countless times. Extremely uncomfortable. To slit his throat would be a dream.

🔶Emery - Despite learning with her and helping Emery master her assassins skills, they are not close, and are somewhat friendly in their rivalry. The older they got, the less aggressive they are to one another. Arisha even flirts with Emery more.

🔶Harrold – She attempted to flirt with him and take him aside during his visit to Highreign. Truthfully, she was wanting to possibly rope him into her plans, knowing that him and Eralind’s fates were not pretty. Despite them having a fight in Highreigns depths, Harrold holds no ill-will towards her. They don’t see one another often, but Arisha pops up every now and then, and they get along well enough, though there’s still some tension between them.

🔶Eralind – Despite the fact Arisha ALSO tried to assassinate Eralind, once again Eralind is none the wiser and admires Arisha’s beauty and skills. This admiration alone was enough to win Arisha over.

🔶Soul Successor – Arisha followed Harrold and the others to Hallownest at some point without their knowing. She has occasionally snuck into her study to nick things or just surprise her for the hell of it. Arisha actually helps Soul Successor with some tasks, since she’s lacking a proper job.

🔶Hornet – Arisha definitely flirts with Hornet too, though how much they actually like each other is a mystery.

🔶Little Ghost – Arisha finds them adorable and has been bested by them multiple times. She treats Ghost like a child and would hug them any moment she can!

🔶Quirrel – She got quite close to Quirrel, they’re decent friends. She finds him charming~

🔶Kummi – Arisha generally avoids Kummi and anything with the Grimm Troupe. She fears their whole Nightmarish Circus… perhaps she’s afraid of clowns?

🔶Pale Daughter – A peculiar meeting between the two. Pale Daughter wishes for Arisha to be her shining knight- as she has tried to do with Harrold too. Arisha- while not interested, keeps a watch on her, making sure she’s okay… Pale Daughter seems to wander Hallownest unaware of its terror.

Lil Facts:

🔶Heavy drinker. She can drink a LOT and be just tipsy.
🔶Has small bouts of depression, connected to her clans tragedy. She seems quite melancholy a lot of the time.
🔶Likes to hang out on high up places and look over the scenery. Examples include- City of Tears roofs, Soul Sanctum roofs, Highreign spires, etc. You can usually find her perched somewhere, lost in thought.
🔶Fave food is hot soups and broths.
🔶Easily swayed by money- must be Geo or something similar. Trinkets and jewellery don’t mean much to her. Nothing can replace the jade she has.
