  • Perhaps in a real world setting, no. But given the right hypothetical situation in an exaggerated play on life, yes, it could be possible.

    Neither is censorship.

I'm so tired of people using ponies to soapbox their opinions.

They use a fictional character as a sock puppet for their own views and beliefs 'cause they can't back them up alone.

Using any medium becomes tiresome when it becomes monotonous enough.

yes you are and you even admit that this will most likely cause a negative backlash and chains of angry replies.

Say's an anonymous user on a furry image dump website. I don't exactly see you lining up to be first to use your real name, after all.

    Came here to say this.

Moreover, making a subject taboo for humor only gives it more power. Rape is about power, so making rape a taboo subject is only going to make it worse.

  • You know what they say about people whom defend rape culture!

I'm sure any of the ponies including pinkie pie have strict objections to rape or rape culture jokes.

Suggesting that they don't when it's fairly obvious shows this post is personally making you angry, most likely because it is attacking your personal likes.

Rape culture as you know it isn't real. It's a fantasy used to back up paranoia driven ideological nonsense. Being branded a rapist destroys a persons reputation entirely in the West. In some cases even further than a conviction for murder.

Meanwhile false accusations are treated like nothing, despite their ability to destroy a career or reputation and innocent until proven guilty is being trampled upon, under a culture of 'listen and believe.'

Rape culture of minimizing and shaming rape victims does exist in one form however, for men. Male rape victims are treated like jokes, systemic male sexual abuse in government organizations and churches has been a cornerstone of comedy for decades.

Rape jokes, are however, still funny. Your prudish censor happy attitude doesn't change the fact that your ideas are based in a totalitarian notion of pussification and child like emotional tenderness that has no place among rational, mature adults.

  • My favorite, Russian in origin I believe:
"Today, I prevented a woman from being raped."
"Great! How did you do it?"
    "I asked first."

I know this was 8 years ago and all but damn man, thank you. If anything, treating male rape as a joke at best has only gotten worse over the years.
