Description
I've been wanting to give some love to the “best gatlian, most smartest, most useful, best looking” from the game High On Life, and I already thought of some pretty fun wacky ideas as to how she can assist little Kelly on his adventures.
I also have been wanting to try my hand at adding visual dialogue within my pictures again.
See… Initially the reason I stopped doing that was because I both was never really happy with the text style, an I was always paranoid and will always beat myself over the head whenever I make a spelling mistake or grammar error, and now that it's on places like E621 where I cannot replace them without bothering the admins, really does kill my motivation and confidence to make future ones.
Well, this time, I'll do my best to accept that and move on.
Back when I made OENAF (One Experimental Night At Freddy's) a comic series I never ended up finishing, I was doing the dialogue in the style of the source engine captions… but I don't think anyone noticed, so I thought this time I'll just try to do a different bazaar style.
This time, I'm going the fat stroke style, a very fat stroke/outline, and I'm using a sort of comic-sans inspired font, but it was lacking versions that were bold, italic, eventually with the help and advice of some friends, decided to make the text less formal, and have it changed styles to emphasise or change certain deliveries… Resulting in a sort of inconsistent and chaotic mess.
I do all of this while trying to still maintain its readability, but I have very little experience with this kind of stuff.
So if you're reading this, please give me some feedback on what you think of the dialogue style, font, and delivery, and maybe I will keep this up.
If you think I should stick with a single font, or at least a bare minimum of two for emphasising certain things, please let me know of a good commercial free font that I can use.
For now, enjoy the introduction of what will be a very bizarre working relationship between a tiny kobold and his first gatlian.
Huge thanks to RED_EYE_RUS for importing this character into SFM.
