since martlet is there, i doubt that clover is in a genocide run also didn't clover use the big blast during pacifist ceroba fight?

Pretty sure "artistic license" is at full power here. Yes, Clover fired a big blast at Ceroba in the Pacifist run, but he never used THIS extreme form of it - a massive Dragonball-style energy wave - outside of the No Mercy run. If he had, Ceroba would have been immediately vaporized.

The only way this makes sense to me is an alternative version of events where for some reason Clover goes through Waterfall after killing Ceroba. That way he'd have time to build his LV to generate that kind of beam.

Kinda looks like Undyne is protecting Martlet from Clover's blast here.

Even though Martlet just hit her over the head with a vase or something.
