You're wrong on (2,4). The illustration there shows the cat is bifurcated, so it's 529.

As an aside, I've noted all but the other two hidden characters (which is kinda hard since I, being a toaster, lack appendages). Those two are a little too vague for me to guess at, and like Ihpkmn I'm not entirely sold on the assumption (1, 4) is 953, even if it's a reasonable one.
