Going to give a somewhat "real" answer to the question "but what if you're both"? because it does happen all the time nowadays. Think of pick me grifters being the token "one of the good ones" conservative transgender icons in order to keep an income flowing from online content.

economic needs aside for a second, people gravitate to alt-right and far-right groups out of a need for acceptance, belonging, and "genuine" ness, they often get lost on the way especially if looking for a "macho" persona to hide behind. This can happen to the smartest of motherfuckers too not just dumb fucks. I feel that repressed queerness makes people at risk for seeking out these groups, because it offers an identity of hardness to hide behind and certainty to ambiguities. (Masculinity politics). We should begin to have more and more examples of influencers grifting in this direction as economic conditions worsen and people get more and more desperate. (A lot of people join alt or far right forces to also have guarantee of semi-militia in order to soothe their anxieties about the government and elite classes not giving a fuck about any of us.)

Anyways, it's a tough one philosophically, would a faggy fascist be able to be saved? I think so, but maybe im in a minority. I think we don't have to sympathize or even directly interact if we dont want to. We dont owe other queer people false unity. but we *can* understand fascists without assuming they're just "dumb" or something (that is a meme). Faggy Fascists are all up in corporate circles now too and they can and do appear on paper as very well put together folks, or that western idea of "intelligent, accomplished".
