I imagine these Nightmare Critters were the in-universe antagonist group to the Smiling Critters. Every toy-centric franchise in the 80s had to have that equally marketable antagonist group.

It looks promising, at least for me, we'll have to see what happens next :3

i think that too, i think the reason they where never mentioned before its because in-universe the show failed and the nightmare critters where scrapped before they could even appear.

Makes sense. I imagine they had toys produced but were never released publically because of the failure & they were simply dumped in that level of the facility.

Coming from the Chapter 4 Teaser video to check the new character, and yes... like i've imagined.
