might be cathartic, but it'd also kinda thematically feel off. it'd make the scene more about the crowd when it really should be just about Fur and Night. the previous page literally had them fall out of focus and their voices fade to nothing.

Takes a lot of courage for this moment.

This story is so cruel. It's event worse, because it could be real. At least behaviour of bullies is very realistic. I am not even sure, why am i reading it. Maybe, because there is still hope for bullied fur? Maybe.

I mean, to be fair, the entire plot of the story does seem to be a pretty obvious allegory for discrimination and bullying experienced by LGBT children in school. so seeing these two as a lesbian couple kinda makes sense.

I don't think the violence would help anything. It would simply make matters much worse for them. Still, I am interested in seeing where this goes.

what? this doesn't even make sense
Because if it was about a lesbian couple or something like that, at the beginning of the story, it would be the two who would suffer bullying, not just Fur (who are bullied for being a furry)

If this is an allegory, it would be about bullying that furries suffer at school, Fur and Night are just normal friends.

I also hope for that but now I realised something ... imagine Night kicking their asses and being arrested for violence on people, maybe even violence by pets/wild animals on people. That would hurt ...
