Typhlosion gaslights, and rapes a women and the women bares his kid.

The woman and the child then become Typhlosions after having the pelt of one draped over them.

  • it's too late, they've already sensationalized it. Warping these silly folk tales into this stupid justified idea that Gamefreak wanted to have dirty freaky stories like that.
When in actuality, they were probably thinking about thier own culture and how to add that into a part of thier game's culture. Maybe they were just spitballing ideas.
It just saddens me that people are overlooking the cultural parallels in favor of pointing out the obvious bad shit that also probably happens in irl folktales.
All in all, I think some director took a look at these and was like "Yep, this isn't going in the kids game" and told them to kill it. And there it remained, somewhere within the files, where we were never meant to see it

Edit: sorry for the outburst, I just saw people talking bad stuff on twitter and it made my anxiety kick in.

Just thinking about those uncultured bandwagoners with their shitty hot-takes screaming "POKEMON RAPE" "The writers at Gamefreak are gooner furry freaks!" "Here's my party of panty touching pokemon!" it just pisses me off. Like, right now, we are watching the perversion of a fictional culture in real-time.

People are just the worse sometimes.

Having any expectations for the Twitterati is a losing proposition.

I know. I've calmed down now. Some time has passed and it seems like people have finally put two and two together and are reassuring people that the decade old scrapped folktales are not canonical and do not reflect what is currently presented in-game.

"I assure you, it is absolutely crucial for the game's development that we right down this story about a dude using a sea creature like a fleshlight!"

I saw the leaks, bro. I know what I read.

seeing as it was never released, i don't consider it a canon story and just an edgy fanfic

The fact that they could've deleted those but never did makes me question why they didn't, The Arceus story looks fine and well tuned into the mythos like other worlds where the immortals and the mortals have babies and etc etc.

  • "Haha typhlosion raped a woman, gamefreak is freaky, so are you bro-"
    "Can you not-"
    "Cope."
Imagine not wanting to be on the receiving end of those jokes for having in the past, liked something, just because someone else decided they were going to judge you for what someone else wrote before both of you were aware of it.

Possibly for use as reference material later should they need to revisit a more folkloric take (i.e. Legends Arceus).

It literally isn't canon because it's not part of any of the games. It was actually just rotting in a metaphorical vault until someone scooped the pile it laid in out of that vault and spilled its guts onto the internet, so it can't be treated as "real". I can understand being put off by a story like this, but anyone taking it seriously is genuinely just fabricating their own problem.

  • As far as I'm concerned, if Vaporeon fans had to put up with everyone posting that unfunny copypasta, y'all can handle this.

  • honestly all these stories that came out of it are basically just Yokai legends with pokemon shoehorned in

The Typlosion story is essentally the story of Yuki-onna with the gender roles reversed.

    Yeah, it is.

When crafting a fictional world, you need to have a baseline set of in-universe back stories and in-universe "lore" which everything else is built on top of. You don't necessarily show/tell those stories, but having them there gives all the writers on the team an understanding of how the world works, how characters interact and why certain things are the way they are.

Literally all of the stories in the leak are old Japanese folklore that they rewrote to feature Pokemon instead. Just FYI. Nothing points to them even being intended to be used in the games. Developers tend to do things like this unofficially for shits and giggles. In their old Q&A section Rare (the OLD Rare, pre-Microsoft acquisition) once admitted their artists did in-game versions of Krystal in stuff like lingerie. This was back when the game was Dinosaur Planet and StarFox was nowhere to be seen, so before other people went wild with lewding her their own artists were doing it themselves.

There's LOTS of stories in this vein over the decades. So the Game Freak stuff isn't that surprising.

  • This leak caused a massive storm within the fandom and people will no longer tell that they like him or the others because they'd get bullied by people thinking they'd condone that.

It's just some stream of consciousness writing from Game Freak creative that got leaked and people are meming about it because it's entertaining. No one is taking it seriously and it's best if you don't either.

Have you never seen Twitter react to anything before? Lots of people are taking it seriously. Never underestimate the ability of people on Twitter taking even the most ridiculous thing seriously and causing drama over it.

  • People thinking this is seriously canon and that Game Freak likes kids are forgetting about the Spongebob leaks we just had earlier this year.
