Sorry for being inactive this past week its a bit of a long story so I'll try and keep it short for you all. The short is basically that I've been feeling kinda out of it art wise this past week and haven't been able to make anything I liked. I started a few pieces but after 2 to 4 hours of work per piece I just wasn't satisfied with any of them and ended up restarting. After a few cycles of this I decided to take a step back and just do something simple for a change.

This piece was originally intended to be a fan art of Maid Marien from the Disney animated film but I don't think I was able to capture the character quite right and so it doesn't really look like her which is a shame. I think if I did this piece in colour I'd be better able to convey the character but as it is right now it just doesn't convey that it's her. The pose itself is based off of one of my favorite frames from the film in which she's pulled her headdress close and wrapped it around herself while looking dreamily for a second. I think I got the clothing right atleast. Anyway I tried to do some work with directional lighting, so the shadows are darker on the left side of the image then the right and there's some highlighting done on the right side and objects that would catch the light. I don't really have much more to say about this piece though, it was essentially just a pallet cleanser I did which I knew I could do fairly quickly. Expect some more fanart in the next few days, I really wanted to start practicing musculature but I'm just not in a good space for that so I'll try and work it into a few fan art pieces if I can, if I can't then I'll do dedicated practice for that starting Sunday. I'm thinking I'll do some fan art of some Redwall characters I really liked, I'm thinking Tsarmina and Princess Kurda are must draws and then depending on time maybe a few obscure characters like Silvamord or Nightshade (yes both fox ladies I am aware of how predictable I am) or maybe even best boy Flinky (look a not fox see I can move out of my comfort zone) who sang some of the best songs in the series. Anyway I'm rambling now so I'll wrap this up
