Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.
Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

MemberSomething about the colouring makes me think this is partly AI-generated.

MemberI had the same thought, the shading looks exactly like what you'd get from AI

MemberI'm fairly certain it isn't though.
AI stuff tends to have a lot of artifacting when you look at the pixel level.
Especially with flat colors it is easily noticeable.
This image doesn't have these artifacts. Flat color areas look normal and the gradients as well.

MemberI've seen recent AI generated art (labelled as such, on other sites) that don't contain those.
My suspicion comes from the lack of artifacts; likely due to having been manually cleaned or processed by another tool/filter to denoise and upscale.
It looks "sterile," for lack of a better term.

MemberAll denoise tools I've seen usually still leave a bunch of noise, especially around edges. This Image doesn't really have any noise.
(But tbh, it has been years since I've last used one. So I might be wrong here.)
And manually cleaning up the noise seems to me to be more time-consuming than drawing the image directly.
I've cleaned up (regular) drawings with jpeg artifacting before, and it took me multiple hours.
Though, now that I think of it.
Maybe they used an AI image for reference and drew on top of it on a separate layer.
That would explain the AI-esque look and the lack of artifacting.
But there is no way to proof something like that.
