just add the tag Edit and, that's about it. Just don't try to take credit behind the back of artists

That's not my intention nor would I want to take credit for a picture, I have seen a large number of images that have the same tag and situation so I presumed this was the norm. Not to take someones art, that's why I stated in the description I colored it and credited the original artist.

Seeing a lot of people being disrespectful with the original artist is not a good reason to do the same. It just shows to people that you are trying to take credit for something you didn't originally do. I myself from time to time edit some pictures and upload them here, but I don't take the opportinity to put my name everywhere as I accomplished something

I think, what you coloured as a tongue is supposed to be upper teeth. It's rather common for cute Japanese style, for example, image-search K-On! on the goog.
