  • This is simply the best creepy thing I have seen this month.

And I'm not saying that because of desensitization, either. This strikes me on so many different and jarring chords mentally.

So in other words you browse this site having the explicit tag black listed?

    No? Why would I?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is implying that there are far worse things that have an explicit rating. Whether or not this is true is a judgement for you to make.

I'm aware there are worse things.

This just happens to strike a few of my synapses the wrong way, to generate an actual "creepy" response.

    Kinda like me with teeth.

Show me bones being broken or skin being flayed, hardly a reaction.

Show me teeth getting cracked or stomped out and I cringe badly.

It's probably because something that is often labeled as rainbows and sunshine is turned into sociopathic and flat-out evil.

Don't worry, though. That's exactly why I find him disturbing. He's the first character to actually give me chills in years.

    That could be it.

Another thing for it for me is his character itself. The entire structuring of the character itself gets me.

I've always both loved and hated those self-imposed god-complex characters. (Although "self-imposed" doesn't fit here.) Just like one of H.G. Wells's stories, about the Doctor on the Island. Fuck if I can remember the character's name right now.

  • I remember at the end of the game when it comes time to SPARE him, and he throws out that "I'll kill everyone you love" line. I actually stopped there and had to think for a minute. I reconsidered sparing him. Flowey would do it; he really could be the vector for this game going all dark and sadistic. Sure, it sounded like the usual empty bad-guy-is-on-the-brink-of-defeat threat, but this game was constantly leading me to think something, and then violating my expectation. I half expected that he'd vanish right there and then I'd get to watch him actually kill the other characters one by one without being able to do anything about it. "I TOLD you I'd kill them all!" I didn't really trust the game not to go all morbid on me. I had the same feeling during the true pacifist ending when Flowey had everyone all vined up. Sure, he technically did steal all their souls, but I was figuring on sudden, out-of-place violent ends for them all. Really, that was one of the great things about Undertale. A jaded old veteran gamer like me could be kept honestly guessing about what was going to happen next.

I'm not gonna post his whole message for such a short answer

This game is kinda meant for the veteran gamers.
I love this game. I love how it pretends to be an 8 bit game every now and then but suddenly some badass instruments start playing, shifting from nostalgic to unforgetable. Fighting Asgore is the best example, just listen to his theme, how it starts and how it plays out

I feel like I'm the only one who immediately went and killed him...After all, he killed Asgore and became a nightmare-fuel abomination and screwed with my game...He had it coming.

This type of glitches are almost always creepy.
