  • Without original source uploads, image depositories such as this would be pointless. Regardless of opinion.

If there's multiple sources, all the better though.

  • If Furaffinity has ANY kind of filtering option I have yet to find it. And I'm certain that if I asked I'd get laughed at.

As a guy who's fairly milquetoast in his tastes beyond, y'know, the obvious outlier here, I massively appreciate the huge amount of content control this place offers.

  • I prefer the capacity for honesty and quality control here.

Someone posts shit? People can tell them it's shit, Admins tell them it's shit, it gets ejected because it was shit, then the same shit is never allowed in again. It's almost like an immune system.

  • Speaking of us having webm, is there any chance we can get thumbnails for those like any of the other imageboards/boorus? It'd be awfully helpful.

Frankly, the question of "which is better" is somewhat nonsensical, since the two sites have rather different purposes.

Based on the events of how Furaffinity has dealt with some of its users and other shit thats passed by... I can agree on this

    I second this.

I recently left FA because of some of the user and staff problems.

Long live E6! and other furry art sites

And thus a wonderful explanation of the E6 immune response was born. *thumbs up*

  • Fuck FA. Its ran by corrupt incompetent staff. The site is over 10 years out of date. The site crashes every other week now. I'd rather have Furnation back thank you very much.

I suddenly laughed uncontrollably because of how you put it and how true it is.

  • E621 doesn't require an account to view content.

I mean obviously I have an account but for the longest time I didn't. If I made an account for Furaffinity I forgot it.

Also, if you're an asshole in the comments section, you get treated like an asshole (Ex. Thumbs down, people telling you how you're wrong, admins telling you to gtfo).

FA also messes up gifs to point where artists are using flash as gif container to bypass the issue lol.

  • I discovered e621 before discovering furaffinity.

While I don't have any problems with furaffinity, I do intend to eventually make e621 my dominant art website.

This. A million times this. Being able to blacklist shit should be a MANDATORY priority on any site which features as various (somewhat) obscure fetishes and explicit content as these semi-freeform imageboards.

So far, the only place I've seen where there's a tagging system in place which actually works is here, thanks to the ability for users to edit tags, a fairly strong established concensus on which tags are useful and which are not, and the continuous discipline exercised by both users and admins in regards to tagging.

In contrast, the purely uploader-based tag system on Furaffinity and the (to my knowledge) lack of a blacklist feature means that it's simultaneously difficult to find what you're looking for and difficult to avoid finding what you don't want to see.

Also, every time i stumble across poopy diapers on Furaffinity is a moment of great sadness and rage. I really appreciate that I'm provided the means to avoid that kind of stuff here.

I have to use a third party blacklisting extension called FurAffinity Filter to hide certain users' content to make FA bearable.

There has been a great many boner kills from 2010 to 2012 for me thanks to that site's non-existent blacklist. I just said screw it and moved here from then on.

Because this is internet. If you would make 2 exactly the same sites people would still argue which one is better.

Just like the PS/Xbox war. They are both more or less the same thing.

(They're both wrong though. Wii U is the best.)

I appreciate InkBunny for actually forcing artists to tag their stuff and implementing a blacklist system.

  • I like this site because there's no ass-kissing of the artists or of the users in the comment section. This is the only pr0n site where I can actually laugh at the comments because the users actually seem normal rather than creepy commenters who try to tell the world what they will do in a role-play.

e621 has more honest comments tbf

Not necessarily. While constructive criticism can be found all over on E6, the comments here also have more people who will go out of their way to be overly harsh because of the bigger anonymity factor. Not to mention E6 comments has much more shitposting.

FA is more personable so there tends to be more "tact" when it comes to commenting. Though I feel there could be a happy medium with E6's more constructive criticism and FA's friendly atmosphere.

Sometimes I like reading the role-play, Sometimes it's cool, provided that It's well writen.

  • I personally prefer E621 because of blacklists and it is easier to navigate or find a image you liked. I also think E621 is a fallback for if FurAffinity falls, but I think that would disrupt some things, for example this place has more honesty than FA so if someone doesn't like an image and says so in the comments there would be a massive downpour of hate towards that individual. Then I also imagine people would try to roleplay or have those comments that I really hate. I just like this site because it feels like there is more freedom and it is more user-friendly instead of FA saying "If you have nothing nice to say then get out."

TBH, this describes rule34.xxx to a T. People who comment on that site need to learn to keep their creepy-ass shit to themselves.

True, but in my opinion, rule34.xxx is the worst of them all.

People get DISTURBINGLY graphic in their descriptions of what they'd "do to (X)" in the comments over there-- it's like they have no clue how repulsively creepy they sound. What's worse is all the guys pretending to be girls talking about how they'd like "(X) to do that to me". (There are no girls on the internet-- or at least, there are no girls who would openly be that pervy on the internet.)

Sofurry.com also has a similarly extensive and effective tag filtering system. Granted, it doesn't have user editing on tags, but on the whole uploader tagging over there is generally very thorough.

  • Only reason I use FA is because of being able to watch specific artists and because of its huge population.

Site design wise, it's a piece of shit stuck in 2003 with lazy coders that take years to implement basic features that every other site has had since 2005.
