I would like to meet the ones who have to kill, gut, clean, and cook those chickens. They must have to find people with ice in their veins who don't mind basically murdering other animals

Maybe they categorize animals in "Morphs" (Prey and Predators) and "eatable" animals, which don't speak and make such an evolutional step like the other morphs.

Like in our world: We do not eal all animals or in some regions we don't eat "beloved" animals like dogs (you know where they get eaten ;) )

Birds and fish didn't evolve in to intelligent creatures in zootopia. I get the hint form the museum scene that pray animals may be a bit more omnivorous then we make them out to be, that or those cave rabbits really love their fur tunics ;)
