  • Why most of people like so myuch Distopias? Maybe because we know that Utopias are not possible and Distopias on the other hand are?

Both are possible to a degree depending on what one qualifies each as in their own mind. I think it is more the fact that dystopia's provide a way to look into a dangerous, or authoritarian premises without having to endure what one would entail. It's the same macabre kind of interest that draws people to horror movies, grimdark fanfics, etc.

Well, regardless of what we see in this comic or in Zistopia. The distopia stories are only just a cut above what we see in Zootopia, as in the movie things are pretty bad. People are judged based on race (literally), and whether they're pred or prey. This is only a different way it can play out.

That's why I love title Zootopia->Zutopia->Utopia and let's be honest - maybe on first look somebody could get fooled by later everyone sees that this city is far from utopian standards ^^

I think we write the things we do in this way because they are interesting and fun. And people like them. Overly happy and utopia scenarios do get old quickly. It is the build to the possible happy ending that makes us want to keep going.

Will this have a happy ending? Keep reading the comic/stories, and I'll let you know in the last chapter. ;)

  • I hope this one actually gets finished.
too many times I've seen a potentially great comic just stop either on the first page or halfway through and its a tad saddening

Many of the artists here are reading fanfics, and 'cartooning' them.
Unfortunately I think some of them read really involved stories and end up biting off more than they can draw.
    Which is a pity. :(
I think this may have happened with Weaver, he created half a dozen masterpieces, but then it just died off?

I don't mind waiting art it art and should never be rushed but it just erks me the wrong way when I see a "page one" of a comic but nothing ever comes up after it even if I search the source :/

Are you referring to pack street? The comics for that where essentially just a little prequel thing to the full on story she is doing on her tumblr.

OK, just spent more time searching more Weaver stuff, and yes, I've seen most of the Pack Street stuff previously.
Did find a lot of written stuff in pastebin (was not aware that she? was writing as well as cartooning), so maybe the comics are not out yet?
Must also admit, I'm being continually surprised at how much of the sexually natured stuff, is being produced by females!
I guess I come from the Old World where girls don't do that sort of thing?
You're right, not only am I old and bald, now I'm a misogynist as well! :(
    I'll let myself out...

I don't think your sexist for thinking that, To be honest most furry artists are male and most of those that do porn are as well. to be honest I am not sure what gender The_weaver is. I seem to recall hearing it's a her though from somewhere; Granted I may be wrong.

Weaver does a lot of stuff with the characters from packstreet that are not canon or semi canon. Just check the tags ozzy_(weaver) Betty_(Waver) Avo_(Weaver) Remmy_cormo, Etc. (Strangely that last one does not have the (Weaver) thing attached to the tag.)

  • Although this is not Weaver (he admits to being a youngish guy in Thailand ), he has redrawn a couple of Weavers cartoons.
I've actually suggested to him via devientart, to read and cartoon some fanfics from AO3, and this may be a result..?
As for Weaver, he/she is a real enigma, the artwork, although usually recognisable, varies widely in quality, the stories can be beautifully crafted, or look like something thrown at the wall?
Even reading his/her tumblr, it just leaves you guessing...
Oddly, this is probably all deliberate!
