"The (Small) Green Elephant" (rus: "Зелёный Слоник", Zelyoniy Slonik) is 1999 Russian art-house horror movie about two Russian (most likely Soviet-era) junior officers (known by nicknames "Poekhavshy" (Nutcase) and "Bratishka" (Brother)) locked in a military prison cell for unknown war crimes, where the cell is run-down like it's abandoned. Poekhavshy is the overly talkative and childish one who's already mentally ill, and facetiously makes light of overly disturbing events of his life. His insanity leads to coprophagia that he calls "sweet bread". Bratishka can't stand him at all or his lighthearted trauma dumping, and snaps the first time upon first witnessing the coprophagia. The film explores mental illness, unacceptable prison conditions, abusive staff, and contains scenes of violence, homosexual rape, coprophagia, suicide, and necrophilia. More about movie on Wikipedia
