Used to describe when any character that clearly intends to keep their underclothes and/or genitals unseen, ends up exposed anyway without anyone's deliberate intention. The tag applies whether or not they are aware that they're exposed.

Examples

If clothing fails to function properly and just falls off, such as a button failing and pants dropping. For situations like this, see wardrobe_malfunction.

A character is undressed by an inanimate object. (For example, clothing caught on a branch or ripped off by a trap.)

For some reason, the character's clothing fails to effectively cover their private parts.

Not to be confused with

casual_exposure - When a clothed or partially clothed character merely has their breasts/genitals exposed in a non-sexual manner/situation for apparently no reason. This tag always implies a total lack of concern for modesty.
