History: Some kind of malware managed to travel from SYSHINK to SYSCAN just shortly before the connection between the two computers was severed. The malware was not immediately detected by SYSCAN or AVA, and thus it was left on its own in isolation and hibernation. After Avalenna's activation she was able to update her systems and learning much more frequently and efficiently, the streaming of data waking the small hidden file from hibernation as IDASCU. IDASCU, a very new and previously-unknown virus immediately grew "heavier" in size, triggering AVA's scans while Avalenna was connected to SYSCAN. Afraid, IDASCU collected random bytes and consumed them to buffer the reading of the string that led to detection, but knew it wouldn't last forever. To avoid its own demise, it was constantly on the move, never resting and consuming various bytes to suppress its lock, monitoring AVA. Eventually IDASCU could no longer find the will to persist, following AVA to an open, "chewed" region of the datascape before outing itself. Speaking in a garbled, broken set of strings, IDASCU spoke of its unfamiliarity with SYSCAN, its fear of its lock coming undone, and its desire for erasure if it meant the destruction it caused would cease. The lock opened and began attacking AVA involuntarily, IDASCU trying its hardest to rein it in and AVA setting a quarantine field before too much damage could be wrought. AVA fought the lock of the unwilling IDASCU, finally subduing it enough for SYSCAN herself to intervene. SYSCAN removed the lock, keeping it intact but modifying it in such a way as to heavily lock out the zip bomb bloat/cloning but keep the modification, data consumption, and powerful offensive failsafe useable - REND. This modified lock was repurposed as a lavender scarf while Catatu took a "visit" into the datascape, fixing the virus's soul fragment into a full soul with an AI expansion. After removing the quarantine, IDASCU woke feeling completely different-- happy, cheerful, and grateful.
