History: Sagis was the only child of Kyrbri before she was no longer able to lay eggs. He was born under Kyrbri's tyrannical rule and knew only of life as it was there and not of any other place. Despite this, part of him longed to see and experience the outside world and what all it held, as he could at least have the idea that there were things beyond the narrow horizon of his home grounds. Due to his lofty dreams and imagination, he was widely the recipient of abuse and harassment from other drones, and occasionally from Kyrbri herself. Their attempts to silence him were only somewhat effective, as he just learned to be sneakier about his actions and desires. This led to him trading away anything of value he had to obtain a picture book and try to learn how to read. Though the book was old and worn, it in a way confirmed his suspicions that there was more to the world than the desolate landscape he'd always known. Maybe there could be better things, greater things for him, too, so this led to Sagis attempting to escape from the colony to see those things for himself. Unfortunately his attempt was not as successful as he'd have liked as he was then marked a traitor to the colony and exiled, left unable to defend himself. His book, the only possession he had, was destroyed by guards after he was forced out.

He was left and made to wander outside on his own, and did so for a few weeks. Knowing he wouldn't be accepted to any other colony, he didn't bother trying to join any of those he passed, but he finally got to see the outside world for the first time as he moved west, then south. Loneliness and fear started to get to him and fueled his nervous anxiety as he questioned if this was really what he wanted after all, as upon leaving he was marked in a way that granted him but a few weeks to live unless he could make it entirely on his own. The creeping guilt and fear began to manifest as mild corruption.

For once luck was on his side-- after sitting to rest after catching some dinner, Aten saw the faint orange glow of fire from her colony grounds and ventured out to investigate, sensing a strange disturbance of energy in that direction. Of all things to find, it was a young, broken drone in need of a home. He hesitantly joined Aten's colony, later confessing to her what all he'd been through. Aten's suspicions were confirmed after asking about the colony's leader, remembering back to her own experiences. The two would later go northeast to see to it that the cycle of abuse stopped.

After joining Aten's colony and trying various odd jobs to help, he found his place in education and translation. Through Series 5 (It Takes One), Sagis is 16.
