stuttering
When a speaking character is stuttering, repeating a syllable a couple of times before they manage to continue with the sentence. Usually on images alongside text, but can also be on animated files with sound.
This can apply to both dialogue, and internal monologue. If there is more than one skip, it becomes an intense stutter.
