The merwasi originate from the small outermost islands of the Qaywa archipelago and are between the other two in terms of average height. While many are as described above, there are members with tan, red, or even green body coloration. This feature may be a combination of both genetic and epigenetic basis. Otherwise merwasi have never been observed with jaw fins and eyes are consistently some shade of yellow or golden brown. An open mouth may reveal pharyngeal jaws if you're lucky. Or unlucky.
