Male–
average height: 6'3
average weight: 200lbs
typical fur color: terra-cotta with medium to dark cream countershading, sleeves, and feet
typical markings color: dark brown sleeve caps and lateral stripe
typical horn color: light warm brown
typical hair colors: dark brown to bistre
typical eye colors: deep through light steel blue

Special features:
-shallow S-shaped horns, knobbed, with ascending tines
-mane and tail fan are lighter, not stiff
-furred inner ears, long feathering on wrists and feet
-stockier face and build than the northern
-older males are commonly seen with facial hair
-countershaded "heart" on butt

Female–
average height: 5'7
average weight: 150lbs
colors are the same range as males

Special features:
-ram-like horns with similar tines as seen in males
-mane and tail fan are usually kept longer than those on males
-furred inner ears, longer feathering on wrists and feet than on males
-stockier face and build than the northern, long eyelashes
-neck fringe is much shorter, but usually still present
-females may keep a scruffy chin or a short beard

The tropicals are larger and occupy the seasonal forests/savannas of the midlatitudes, sharing the de-facto boundaries between the deserts/scrublands of the north and the thick rainforests of the south. They benefit from their position, serving as the middle of intra-region trade and exporting mainly wooden and earthen wares. They are bulkier than the northerns, best built for endurance.
