How to set your avatar

This page will help you set your avatar on e621.net.

Your Avatar

First, your avatar must be a post that is already on the site. This does not mean you can upload a small or irrelevant image for the sole purpose of using it as an avatar. Site rules on uploading still apply to avatars. Animated .gif's will not animate as avatars, flashes will display a "FLASH" thumbnail and deleted images will show a "DELETED" thumbnail.

Setting Your Avatar

To set a post as your avatar, simply paste its ID number into the "Avatar post ID" box found in your account settings. This number can be found any post underneath the "statistics" field (left of the image, underneath the tag list) and is also found in the URL as the string of numbers.

Setting your avatar from a post

You can also set a post as your avatar from the post itself. Simply go to the post you want as your avatar, find where it says "set as avatar" under post options on the left and click it. That will set the current post as your avatar.

• Copy the ID number
• Paste it into the avatar ID box in settings
