Character: poseidon
Poseidon is the god of the land, sea, and horses in Ancient Greek religion and legends. Poseidon is the fifth child of Cronos and Rhea, king and queen of the Titans.
Poseidon is very similar to his younger brother Zeus, in that he is known for being vain, petty, tempestuous, and promiscuous, though not as much as his younger brother. Hence, why there are not as many demigods who happen to be his children throughout the mythology. His wife, Amphitrite is also known to not get as upset as her sister in law Hera (the goddess of monogamy) and seek revenge on the admittedly small number of bastard children Poseidon has with random mortals. Poseidon was heavily popularized due to urban fantasy depictions, most notably the Percy Jackson series, as he is the protagonist's biological father. He lives on Mount Olympus with the rest of his family (minus Hades).
The Roman Equivalent of Poseidon is Neptune.
