deflation

The concept of deflation is a complex subject involving reducing something to a diminished form by releasing a substance inside that something that contributes to some aspect of its shape; the opposite concept to inflation.

Primary definition

The removal of air from an inflatable object (i.e a balloon, beach ball, pool toy, etc.) by valve or puncture. Popping is a different, more violent version of this theme, which is at this time separate from deflation.

Other definitions

- There may be unusual forms of this concept that don't involve an inflatable.
- This tag does not usually apply to fluids. The leaking tag is likely better to use in this situation.
- This tag does not usually apply to absorption vore. The draining, or drained tag is likely better to use in this situation.

Deflation states

  • deflated - The subject is functionally deflated, or cannot be deflated any further. This usually applies to inflatables, but less common forms might also apply. Being in a deflated state does not inherently suggest that deflation has occurred. Remember that deflation refers to the process, not necessarily the result.
  • deflating - The subject is transitioning into a deflated state. This usually implies that the subject is in a state of inflation, but this is not always true, and even when it is true, the inflation tag doesn't always apply. For instance, it doesn't always apply to inflatables, as they usually only have a structured form when they are inflated.
