The Elder Scrolls is an action role-playing video game series primarily developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The games are set in the high-fantasy world of Tamriel which is inhabited by humans and other humanoid fantasy creatures like elves, orcs, and some original anthropomorphic animal races. Each of the main series games are played primarily in the first person and allow the player to create their own character, usually a hero who has to rise against evil.
