shrunken city

Shrunken city describes a city that has been shrunk to a micro or nano scale. Scenes with shrunken cities almost always have normal sized, comparatively macro or giga-macro sized characters interacting with the city.
A small shrunken city might be kept in a glass jar, snow globe, worn in a piece of jewellery, or some other kind of container, while a large shrunken city may be laid out on a floor or table like a living diorama or model train set. In either case, typical macro themes will play out with shrunken cities — cities may be crushed entirely, subject to the relative giant's sexual desires or played with, even eaten on food — but with a backdrop of the rampaging (or gentle) giant's house, furniture, or other normal sized surroundings, rather than a landscape matching the scale of the city.
"Shrunken City Tags"
While not inherently related to shrunken cities, these tags can be used to describe scenes with a shrunken city
- destruction — any kind of destructive action
- building destruction — individual buildings being destroyed
- city destruction — widespread destruction in a city, or the complete destruction of the city
- city crushing — a character crushing an entire city
- object vore — when the larger character consumes buildings or the entire city
- mass vore — when the micro inhabitants of the shrunken city are shown (e.g. a comic featuring a street level scene before the larger character swallows up the city) prior to, or while their city is consumed
- alternatively, if the difference in scale is smaller, the larger character may be shown consuming multiple shrunken individuals, or crowds of them
- mass crush — should only be tagged if individual characters or crowds are depicted, otherwise, building destruction, city destruction and/or city crushing are more appropriate
