Holding viewer describes a character using one or both hands, or appendages such a tail or tentacle, to grab on to, pin down, or hold up the viewer in a first person view.
The character's arm(s) will usually stretch to the corner/side of the image, sometimes showing part of the palm of the character's hands. Holding viewer can involve the character lifting the viewer up, holding the viewer up in the air above them, pinning the viewer against a wall or to the ground, holding the viewers head, choking the viewer, or grabbing them by the collar. If the character is far larger than the viewer, the viewer may be held in the palm of the character's hand with the palm and fingers surrounding them.
Depending on the background of the scene, or apparent size between the viewer (based on partially visible limbs of the viewer, how the viewer is being held), holding viewer may fall under macro or micro, and potentially extreme size difference (only if the viewer's limbs are shown, or if the perspective character is shown in another shot).
Important Note:
While sometimes visually similar, this tag should not be confused with a scene shown from a camera view as the character holds the camera and records or photographs themselves.
