skull symbol
A symbolic representation of a skull, usually heavily stylized or simplified.
A skull symbol may be a design on clothing items, painted or printed onto a surface, painted or tattooed onto a character's body, or used in an abstract background. A skull symbol also can appear as iconography. When seen on clothing, the skull_print, or skull_accessory tag may apply.
Important Note:
This tag should not be confused with a physical skull, a naturally occurring skull shaped marking on a character's skin, fur or scales, or with a skull and crossbones symbol.
Skull Symbol As Iconography
A skull symbol may represent:
- a character dying (or merely feeling like they're dead), similar to x eyes
- a character being very angry
- a character having mischievous, violent or evil intent
- poison or a deadly hazard, especially on labels and signage
- if joined by crossed bones, it should instead be tagged as skull and crossbones
