Deception describes when a character attempts to trick, deceive or mislead another character or the viewer in any way. Most obviously, this involves a character verbally telling lies (usually with visible evidence contradicting their dialogue that only the viewer can see, while the character being lied to cannot see the evidence for dishonesty, or is unaware of it). Deception can also be purely visual, without spoken lies.
Posts under this tag often involve situational deception in sexual contexts, such as a character pretending to be another to have sex with someone, or using deception to cause orientation play.
Visual/Situational Deception
- A character shrugging their shoulders or shaking their head/nodding their head to imply a response which is visibly false to the viewer
- A character tricking another character to do something they otherwise wouldn't do
- A character coaxing or luring someone or something into a trap with something desirable that their target clearly won't receive (e.g. a mouse trap with cheese)
- a character pretending to be someone they're not:
- A character blindfolding another and implicitly mimicking the voice of a third character when talking to them
- A character blindfolding another and allowing the other character to believe they're someone else
- A character using shape-shifting, magic, potions, technology, or a disguise to transform themselves into someone else and pretend to an unwitting third character to be that person
May Involve
- blindfold
- broken condom
- fake breasts
- fake pregnancy
- imposter suit
