Weight conscious describes when a character is shown being "aware" of their weight, and/or calling attention to their weight (or their "fatness"). They may verbally reference their weight/fatness, or be shown physically examining themselves and reacting.
While this often involves a character displaying anxiety, anger, embarrassment, or disappointment in being overweight, this tag also applies to characters expressing positivity about their weight as well, or simply asking themselves or others about their weight.
Common Themes/Scenarios
- looking at mirror - a character may be looking at themselves in a mirror
- weighing scale - character may be standing on one while being weight conscious
- talking to self - weight consciousness is often expressed verbally
- belly grab - a common pose, with the character looking at their belly and expressing something about their belly fat
- looking at butt - may be combined with describing butt
- weight gain - a character may be shown gaining weight in a full sequence or before and after two part sequence
