SCP-2331 is a living scarecrow character from the mythos of the SCP Foundation website. His debut story, SCP-2331 — SCRAVECROW was posted in November 2014 by a writer known as SoullessSingularity.

SCP-2331 is an uncontained Euclid-class SCP that is most often but not exclusively encountered by the American public in the month of October. He is an animate scarecrow filled with hay and a jack-o'-lantern for a head that emits a fluorescent blue glow from the eyes and mouth. Due to the relative mundaneness of his appearance, activity during the Halloween season, and potentially additional factors, he is readily mistaken by civilians to be a human wearing a costume akin to Deadmau5 or Marshmello.

SCP-2331 operates as a disc jockey under the alias "Scravecrow", hosting and performing at raves he spontaneously manifests the venue for in vacant spaces, often in indoor locations. During these events, designated SCP-2331-P by the SCP Foundation, SCP-2331 has shown several anomalous abilities including manifestation of electronic festival equipment; transformation of interior spaces to accommodate patrons; distribution of pamphlets and business cards; generating colored smoke, lasers, and other special effects; and regurgitating candy and glowsticks. SCP-2331-P have high turnout rates, drawing hundreds of attendees even when there is little social media announcing an event. Attendees have also shown an indifference to SCP-2331's more egregious displays of paranormal activity, such as detaching and replacing his pumpkin head or relocating the venues via teleportation. Due to this, the SCP Foundation suspects SCP-2331 may be issuing a compulsive effect.

As he is preoccupied by his performances for the duration of SCP-2331-P events, SCP-2331 is rarely heard speaking, but when he is heard he speaks in a British accent with occasional profanity. In addition to his desire to entertain, SCP-2331 has shown a concern for the safety of his patrons, such as a willingness to end an SCP-2331-P if it is under threat of being shut down by police, because "if we don't do some things in an orderly and calm fashion they're gonna pepper spray every motherfucker and get the dogs out and then some people might end up in the cells for a night," as he once explained.

While no SCP Foundation assets have been unable to successfully converse with SCP-2331 directly, an agent was able to acquire a business card with a phone number from him. Calling this number, an informal interview was conducted with an associate of SCP-2331. This associate identified SCP-2331 as "Jack, of the lantern variety", describing him as an old man who was a seasonal worker that retired from his job and took up disc jockeying to remind himself of how things used to be; this account implies that SCP-2331 is Stingy Jack (a ghost from Irish mythology) or otherwise a spirit of Halloween.
