rocket engine
A rocket engine is a type of engine that makes of jet propulsion (A method of propulsion that pushes a jet of fluid from the opposite direction to push an object forward) to achieve thrust. It makes use of stored mass as propellant which makes it useful in airless environments such as outer space. These engines are installed on rockets.
Not to be confused with a jet_engine which have an air intake and makes use of that air as the propellant nor water_jet which makes use of the water.
