Projesterone is a hormone that allows the endometrium (lining of the uterus) to allow fertilized eggs to connect and grow as well as controlling menstruation.

As a medication it's used by women who are taking conjugated estrogens after menopause to combat changes to the uterus that those medications can cause.

It's used as well as an HRT medication for trans fem people, often coming in gel pills.
