Hello! I have been making art for myself for over a decade. For the past 3.5 years I did art/design in-house for a souvenir company. I hope to continue doing it as both a hobby and profession for many years to come! I am currently seeking work so please do not hesitate to send me a message!

ABOUT ME
These past ten years of drawing have been quite a journey. As a child I wanted to be an animator and work on cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants. Most of my drawings were just meant to make my friends and me laugh. In highschool I was reintroduced to superhero comics. The anatomical detail and dynamic figures blew me away. I spent hours trying to directly copy panels and entire pages to glean as much as I could. In college I got a job with a luthier but after a few years was discontent. I felt compelled to pursue my dreams seriously. I spent more time learning and creating. After saving some money I took a risk and quit that job. Thankfully I had connected with one of the owners of CKI, a souvenir design company, and was offered to do some freelance projects. They liked my work, I got an interview, and landed the job. While at CKI I grew more in regards to design and workflow. I learned how important it was to have file structure and organization. Everything from file layers to folder names needed to be legible in a way that all artists could make edits. Time management was crucial so that we could get projects approved and sent in time for production. Communication was key. Since the company was small I learned to take on many roles whenever the need saw fit. I constantly bounced between clerical, warehouse, design, and production. I was laid off due to Covid-19. The souvenir industry took a huge hit due to the lack of people traveling for leisure. I, like many others, am still reeling from the continuing and unforseen effects of the pandemic. However, I hope this can be a resetting where I can focus on what drives me. I want to be involved in more story telling, world building, and creating colorful characters. I want to excite imaginations and make people laugh. I feel driven to see what new things I can learn and create. Please consider allowing me to work with you to help bring happiness in these dark times.
