Beta Bucky Beaver, as referred to in the game files of Shipwrecked 64, is the first in-universe incarnation of series protagonist Bucky Beaver. In his earliest cartoons in the early-mid twentieth century, he had this very different appearance, only being retooled into his more familiar look midway through his life. The design can be seen on cartoon title cards in the museum portion of the game: "Construction Destruction", in which he tries to build a dam, and "Grave Mistake", which he's buried alive and tries to escape.

According to Stumbler O'Hare, Bucky's cartoons in this era were very macabre and always ended in his death. Memories of this have left Bucky resentful of his creator Rex Broadside even in the modern day, long after Broadside's own death.
